Emerging Learner

The Emerging Learner is a short television series (three programs, half-hour each), produced by Dallas Telecourses, to help students learn to become better distant learners. It uses a humorous, fast-paced approach to provide information on the skills necessary for learning effectively from a distance and getting better grades. In addition, it equips students with lifelong learning skills readily transferable to on-campus courses and the workplace.

These video programs are available in the Open Media Lab, on the De Anza College campus, for use in the Lab or for overnight checkout. They are also broadcast on the Community College Network (cable TV) in the south San Francisco bay area.
